What CatalogVisible is

CatalogVisible is a measurement service for Shopify merchants. Shoppers increasingly ask AI assistants what to buy. We ask those assistants the same kind of questions and record whether your store appears in the answer. The result is an AI visibility audit: a report of where your store was mentioned, where it was not, and how consistently, with the raw responses kept as evidence.

What we measure

• Mentions, not rankings. We count whether the assistant named your store or your products in its answer to a real shopping question in your category.
• Repeatability. The same questions are asked more than once; an answer that changes from run to run is reported as unstable, not as a score.
• Machine access. We check what an AI crawler can actually read from your storefront (public product feed, robots rules) because an assistant cannot mention what it cannot read.
• Coverage. Every report states which engines, how many questions, how many repetitions, and what could not be measured. Nothing is estimated or extrapolated.

How we measure

An audit is read-only. We never log in to your store, change anything, or use private data: we read the same public storefront surface a shopper or a search engine sees. We then send a fixed question set to the AI engines named in the report and store each raw response. Scores are derived from those stored responses by a published, versioned method, so a report can always be traced back to the exact answers it was built from. Free audits use a short question set; paid plans repeat the audit on a schedule so you can see change over time.

Built by Yahya Acun, an independent software developer working on AI-era search visibility. It is an independent product: we are not affiliated with Shopify or with any AI engine we measure, and we accept no payment from either.

What we do not do

• We do not promise to improve your ranking in any AI assistant.
• We do not sell, share, or train models on your data.
• We do not publish a score we could not measure; unmeasurable stores are reported as unmeasurable.
